The Yee Peng Festival is one of the most spectacular sights in all of Thailand.
Celebrated on the full moon of the 12th lunar month ever year — usually mid-November — thousands of brightly lit lanterns rise into the night’s sky over Chiang Mai.
Buddhists believe that if you make a wish when you set off the lantern, it will come true, provided that you do good deeds the following year. Check out our footage of this event!
