Hook heavy, progressive metal is still this band’s forte but I don’t think anyone’s complaining. Mastodon groove comfortably within a similar sonic wheelhouse they’ve been in for the past few records. Raise the horns and get a little grease gnar/ rad! \m/
This is an uncomfortably millennial creation. 90’s nostalgia coupled with an ode to Tinder is almost too much to handle but it hits a good spot. Prozzak’s comeback is here to stay. I can dig it and I think you can too.
